An independent, one-person surveying practice based in Sennen, at the far west of Cornwall — working primarily in the west half of the county, and travelling further afield when needed.
Cornwall Surveys is my independent surveying practice, providing topographic and measured building surveys primarily across the west half of Cornwall — though I will travel further afield if necessary. Because it's just me, you get a level of care and consistency that larger firms struggle to match: the person who quotes your job is the person who surveys your site and produces your drawings.
I hold a BEng (Hons) in Mining Engineering from Camborne School of Mines, and I have run Cornwall Surveys for six years on a part-time basis.
I work with modern survey-grade equipment — a robotic total station, GNSS receiver and Trimble 3D laser scanner — and produce all drawings in AutoCAD to a clean, consistent layering standard. Laser scanning means I can capture and supply full point cloud data as well as traditional survey drawings.
Send over your site address and project details. You'll receive a fixed-price quote, usually within a couple of working days.
A site visit is arranged at a time that suits you. Most residential surveys are completed in a single visit.
Your drawings are issued in DWG and PDF format, with a follow-up to make sure everything is exactly as your project needs.
Whether you have a full brief or just an idea, I'm happy to advise on the right survey for the job.
